Weekly Newsletter w/c 15/11/2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

Please see below for some important notices about school life:

Birthday Treats

Please can we remind all parents/carers that we are a nut-free school. If you are sending in treats for your child’s class to celebrate their birthday, you must make sure they do not contain nuts. To avoid any disappointment, please check the label as anything that says it contains or may contain nuts will not be shared with the class and they will be returned with the child. A nice alternative to treats could be a book that can be added to the class library for all to enjoy.

Smoking

A polite reminder to parents that smoking is not permitted on the school playground or directly outside the school gates.

The Parish of Christ Church, Waltham Cross

Our Christmas Fayre has a German Market theme this year – Saturday 4th December 11am- 2pm. Please see the poster attached to the weekly emailed newsletter.

School Meals

If you child has any allergies or dietary requirements please fill out the form here. It is important that the school are made aware of these requirements in case of any unforeseen changes to the school meal menu.

A Listening Ear

A listening ear is an in-house listening service that is on offer Wednesday afternoons.

Mrs Hudson is there to listen –without judgement - to anything that you need to talk about, she can offer advice or signpost you to a service that can cater to your specific needs. Whatever you need to talk about, A Listening Ear is there. Mrs Bye will lead sessions focussing on behaviour at home.

Sessions are booked online via the link on the school website. Please click here.

It is a service to use as and when you need it and is not in place of professional counselling.

Contactline

Contactline is a free service that enables parent/carers to speak directly to an Educational Psychologist where you can discuss a child or young person’s development, learning or emotional wellbeing. To find out more please view the attachment on the weekly emailed newsletter.
