Child Emotional Well-Being Workshops
Please find attached on the emailed newsletter a document containing information about child emotional well-being workshops.

 

Parent Netball Sessions
England Netball Team will continue to offer parent/carers a free beginner netball program in the New Year. Sessions will begin at 9:30am and will last for around 45 minutes. If you would like more information about this, please contact or approach Mrs Bye in the playground, at coffee morning or by telephoning the school office.

 

Christmas Turkeys
Mrs Bye our Family Liaison Officer has been awarded funding to purchase 20 Christmas turkeys for pupil premium eligible families. Names will be entered into a prize draw and winners will be contacted. If you would like further information or to express your interest please contact or approach Mrs Bye in the playground, at coffee morning or by telephoning the school office.

 

Covid 19 Self Isolation

Self-isolation is when you do not leave your home because you have or might have coronavirus (COVID-19). This helps stop the virus spreading to other people. To find out when to self-isolate and what to do please click here.
 

Upcoming In School Events

We are currently still planning to go ahead with our Christmas performances but please be aware that we may need to change this if our number of positive Covid cases increases. If that does happen, we will make a recording of the performances and share it with parents. Please check the newsletter next week and Facebook for any updates.


14/12/21- Key Stage 1 Nativity to Ash and Beech Parents/Carers
At 2:00pm on Tuesday 14 December 2021, the parents/carers of children in Ash Class and Beech Class are invited to watch the children perform in their Christmas production.

15/12/21- Key Stage 1 Nativity to Chestnut and Walnut Parents/Carers.
At 2:00pm on Wednesday 15 December 2021, the parents/carers of children in Chestnut Class and Walnut Class are invited to watch the children perform in their Christmas production.

16/12/21- Reception Christmas Concert
At 9:15am on Thursday 16 December 2021, the parents/carers of children in Sycamore Class and Willow Class are invited to watch the children perform some Christmas-themed songs.

16/12/21-Christmas Jumper Day
Children are welcome to come to school in non-school uniform, wearing a Christmas jumper.

16/12/21 -Christmas Dinner Day
At lunchtime, the cooks will be serving our annual Christmas dinner. If your child would like to have this please make sure to pre-book on the Schoolgrid.

 

Upcoming School Trips

 

6/12/21-Hawthorn Class-Lea Valley School Visit
We have recently made links with Lea Valley School to give our children the opportunity to access resources and subject specialists that we do not have in school. As such, we have organised for your child’s year group to attend Lea Valley School on Monday 6th December for Tag Rugby lessons. This will support the children’s learning, as their current PE topic is Tag Rugby.

08/12/21- Choir Club Festival of Carols 
This is an event run by Broxbourne Council with fifteen local schools taking part. Children from Hurst Drive will be performing a 30-minute carol concert from inside the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Waltham Cross. Parents/carers are welcome to attend to support the choir and enjoy their festive singing.

09/12/21-MulberryClass- Lea Valley School Visit
We have recently made links with Lea Valley School to give our children the opportunity to access resources and subject specialists that we do not have in school. As such, we have organised for your child’s year group to attend Lea Valley School on Thursday 2nd December to design a web page. This will complement their current topic of Web Page Design.

We have recently made links with Lea Valley School to give our children the opportunity to access resources and subject specialists that we do not have in school. As such, we have organised for your child’s year group to attend Lea Valley School on Friday 10th December for Tag Rugby lessons. This will complement their current topic of Tag Rugby.

10/12/2021- Oak Class- Festival of Carols
This is an event run by Broxbourne Council with fifteen local schools taking part.
