School Reopening - w/c 01/06/2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

In light of the Prime Minister's announcement today, we will reopen our school next week to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, as well as to vulnerable children and the children of key workers.

If you have told us you plan to send your child/ren back to school, you will have received an e-mail on Friday 22 May 2020 with all the details you need (e.g. what day your child returns, what classroom they will be in etc.) so please reread that e-mail.

Please click here to watch a video about school reopening - this video is suitable for children to watch - or click here to read our guide for parents/carers about school reopening.

As a reminder, Reception will return on Monday 1 June 2020, Year 1 will return on Tuesday 2 June 2020, and Year 6 will return on Wednesday 3 June 2020.  The children of key workers and vulnerable children (i.e. those in Miss Buck's group in Birch Class or those in Miss Peffers' group in Cherry Class) will return on Monday 1 June 2020.

Miss Bracken and I will be on the playground to give you directions, if needed.

If you have told us you planned to keep your child at home but then change your mind and want them in school, please e-mail admin@hurstdrive.herts.sch.uk to make your request known.  Please then continue with home learning until we contact you with information - we will have to make arrangements to form a new group of children and this may take a few days or a week so you will need to be patient.

We look forward to welcoming many of you and your children back to school next week.

Yours sincerely,

Mr D Short

Headteacher
