📖 Ready, Steady, Read - Monday 4th March 2019 - Sunday 10th March 2019 📖
To celebrate and encourage a lifelong love of books and reading at home and school, we will be running a sponsored read between Monday 4th March and Sunday 10th March.
The project is being organised in conjunction with our local Usborne Organiser and all the money raised will go towards brand new books for our school. Please help us to enhance our reading resources for pupils by spending a small amount of time each day reading with your child and sponsor each minute that is read. It is not just books that you can enjoy together; you can also read comics, magazines, recipes, menus or your favourite websites - anything with words that you can read together counts towards your total.
After the sponsored read, please send all the sponsorship money that your child has raised to the school office on Monday 11th of March.
📗 World Book Day - Thursday 7th March 2019 📗
It is World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2019 so we would like the children to come to school dressed as a favourite character from a storybook for which there will be prizes of brand-new books for those children in the best costumes.
🍽 Please also note that Herts Catering Limited (who provide our school meals) will be doing a special lunch menu on this day, including... 🍽
Red option: Horrid Henry's BBQ Chicken Burger with baked potato wedges and vegetables
Green option: Moody Margarita Sweetcorn Pizza with baked potato wedges and vegetables
Dessert: Perfect Peter's Chocolate Orange Cookie
If your child usually has a packed lunch but you would like them to have a school meal on this day please speak to the school office by Monday 4th March 2019.
💷 Dinner Money 💷
Just a quick reminder that dinner money needs to be paid in advance. Our preferred method of payment is on School Gateway. If you are unable to pay on the School Gateway app, please come into the office with the correct money in an envelope. The weekly cost of school dinners is £12.50 for five meals.

Please note the school day finishes at 3:15 pm. Can we please remind you that your children need to be collected at this time. Can we also please remind you to contact the office during the school day if you have a friend or family member collecting your child who is not on your contact list.
