Welcome to Hurst Drive Primary School.
Hurst Drive Primary School is in Waltham cross, Hertfordshire, a market town 14 miles north of central London.
It was opened in September 1953. It is situated on a pleasant site in a residential area. The location is only a five-minute drive from the A10 junction of the M25 (Junction 25) and a ten-minute walk from Theobalds Grove or Waltham Cross Railway Stations.
Following our recent expansion project we are gradually expanding to two form entry. There are currently 12 classrooms in the school and we have the capacity at present for 345 children. The grounds are extensive and contain a substantial conservation area, with different habitats including a pond, field and wooded area.
At Hurst Drive, we have the highest expectations and aspirations of our pupils and all stake holders within the school. We are passionate about learning and have an ethos that we are all learning all of the time. We want our pupils to become resilient, independent, confident and to make a positive contribution to society. We strive to ensure the pupils at Hurst Drive leave us with solid academic foundations and the characteristics to pursue their goals.
