Our House System

At Hurst Drive Primary School, we have a house system - each of the four houses in each class has a house representative, chosen by a class vote, who report children's concerns and suggestions to the Year 6 house captains who then meet with the head teacher to affect positive change within the school.

Our house system values the importance of developing non-cognitive skills to promote lifelong success.  Non-cognitive skills cannot be measured by achievement tests; they are personality traits that successful individuals demonstrate in their everyday life.

Please click on the link below to watch a video about how our House System encourages every individual in our school to work towards success by showing the house characteristics.
