Hurst Drive Primary School is in Waltham Cross,Hertfordshire, a market town 14 miles north from the centre of London. It was opened in Se ptember 1953. It is situated on a pleasant site in a residential area. The location is only a five-minute drive from the A10 junction of the M25 (Junction 25) and a ten-minute walk from Theobalds Grove or Waltham Cross Railway Stations. There are currently eleven classrooms in the school and about 300 children. The grounds are extensive and contain a substantial conservation area, with different habitats including a pond, field and wooded area. The school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities and clubs which take place both at lunch-time and after school. Trips and visits are also an essential part of the curriculum we provide. Parents are welcomed into the school, and visits to see the school at work can be arranged.
